Malcolm Mayo

 

Malcolm Mayo is Director of Supplier Development for the Dallas College Community College District. He also is owner of Bottom Line Business Solutions. Malcolm has been working with the 10KSB program since 2018. His immediate family relocated to Dallas, TX from Louisville, KY  25 years ago. He has a wife and 2 children, and enjoys reading, traveling, sports and spending time with his family and friends when he has an opportunity.

Malcolm has 20+ years of finance, management and operations experience across the food service, food distribution, manufacturing, healthcare, education, and retail industries. It was the start of his career in fast food where he recognized that his passion for people development, finance and operations would be his areas of focus going forward. He spent seven years at Walmart headquarters as a Director of Merchandise Financial Planning where he was responsible for leading two $5 billion business units and was able to use this experience to broaden his expertise in merchandising, financial analysis, process improvement, logistics and cost savings. 

In 2019 he started Bottom Line Business Solutions (bottomlinebs.com) to help educate small business owners with creating a budget and providing financial analysis in order to help them make better business decisions and potentially become more profitable. He is active in the community serving as the PTA President at his daughter’s school and Governance Chair at his church. Malcolm has a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration degree from Morris Brown College, and a MBA, Management and Finance from Keller Graduate School of Management.
