Frazier House

The Dallas Independent School District’s Julia C. Frazier Elementary School campus in South Dallas is currently undergoing renovation and redesign to become Frazier House. In 2018, Frazier House will open as a shared space that partners and collaborates with community nonprofit and service organizations to deliver a variety of educational, legal, health-related, economic, social services, job skills training and job placement to parents in Dallas ISD. The two-story, 36,000 square foot space will be refurbished to provide the following shared work space:

  • reception/waiting area
  • intake area/private counseling offices
  • partners’ lounge
  • work room/reprographics
  • conference/meeting rooms
  • classrooms
  • culinary arts facilities
  • flexible learning and counseling areas
  • telecom and Internet connectivity 
  • training rooms


  • Basic Education: Adult Basic Education (ABE); English as a Second Language (ESL); High School Equivalency (formerly GED); Adult Literacy
  • Career Development: Resume Writing; Interviewing Techniques; Dress for Success; Workforce Readiness Skills
  • Skills Training: Computer Classes; Data Entry; Customer Service; Trade Classes; Entrepreneurial Classes; Low Voltage Training; Urban Gardening; Call Center Training, Various Certifications
  • Health: Screenings; Healthy Eating Classes; Hospitality Training; Fitness Classes; Bistro/Culinary Arts Training; Cooking Demonstrations/Gardening Initiatives
  • Counseling Center: Drug Abuse Counseling; Individual, Family, and Group Counseling Sessions; Emotional Health
  • Reentry services (for formerly incarcerated individuals)
