About the speaker Kimberly High

Kimberly High

Kimberly High (Kim) is a proud native of Dallas, Texas.  Attended The High School for Health Professionals also located in Dallas.  After receiving her high school diploma, Kimberly went on to attend Dallas Baptist University and Northwood University where she obtained her Bachelors of Business Administration Degree.

Kimberly had the pleasure of spending most of her professional career working for Allstate Insurance Company for thirty-one years.

Kimberly started volunteering for Bonton Farms.  Because of her love for farming and being outside learning about the health benefits of breathing fresh air, getting good vitamin D and eating various vegetables and fruits she was able to make life changes.

Bonton Farms Director was so impressed with her dedication when it came to volunteering at the farm, so much so, he asked her if she would consider working for the farm.  Kimberly hesitated a bit but went on to join the farm.  An opportunity to work for Paul Quinn Farm(We/Me Farm) was later presented to Kimberly of which was the former football field. Kim was excited about taking part in providing members of the Highland Hills communities and students with fresh organic produce from the Farm so that they too could improve or maintain good health. She has now started a community farm in the community of Joppa where she grew up. She is presently working to build a farm at the Meadows Foundation (Wilson) community.

Her motto is; she will not stop farming until everyone has a garden in their backyard.
